How Your Donations Help Us Accomplish Our Mission
Your donations are a critical part of Preservation Sacramento. Donations allow us to explain our mission to our partners throughout Sacramento by hosting events and workshops. We also use funds donated to Preservation Sacramento to plan events that promote the benefits of historic preservation to a wider audience.
Additionally, Preservation Sacramento is an important partner in funding surveys of historic districts in Sacramento. These surveys are professional planning studies and cost thousands of dollars but preserve entire neighborhoods through historic district designation. With historic district designation comes the opportunity for homeowners to become eligible for Mills Act contracts with the City, use of the California Historic Building Code, and other incentives. However, surveys like these and other preservation projects rely on donations from community members like you. Thank you for helping to preserve our history!
